Jazz lovers in Winnipeg are in for an extraordinary

musical experience as Oh! Jazz: Global Stage brings world-class jazz performances

from around the world to the big screen at Winnipeg’s Rec Room Seasons of Tuxedo

starting March 10. This first-of-its-kind concert series features exclusive performances

from internationally acclaimed jazz artists, offering an immersive experience that

transports audiences to iconic jazz venues like Sala Villanos (Madrid, Spain), Foundry

616 (Sydney, Australia), and JazzLab (Melbourne, Australia).

The Oh! Jazz: Global Stage series presents a carefully curated selection of world-class

jazz performances, showcasing an eclectic mix of styles and international talent. The

March – Women in Jazz Month

Shining a spotlight on the most influential female jazz artists, this month features

performances from leading women in the genre including:

● March 10 – Zela Margossian Quintet ( Foundry 616, Sydney, Australia) – A

captivating fusion of World Jazz with Middle Eastern influences

● March 31 – Rita Satch (JazzLab, Melbourne, Australia) – Genre-defying fusion of

deep soul, jazz, and cinematic orchestration.

April – Travel the World of Jazz (International Jazz Month)

An exploration of jazz’s global influence, featuring top brass jazz performers from

Australia.

● April 14 – James Morrison Sextet ft. Mat Jodrell and Carl Mackey (Foundry 616,

Sydney, Australia) – A high-energy exploration of Modern Jazz by legendary

multi-instrumentalist James Morrison

May – Discover Flamenco Jazz

An ode to Brazil’s rich jazz heritage, this month showcases the country’s most

renowned instrumentalists including:

● May 5 - Chico Perez-Sarao (Sala Villanos, Madrid, Spain) - Captivating fusion of

flamenco, jazz, blues, and classical elements, creating a unique and emotionally

resonant sound.

● May 26 – Olivia Pérez-Collellmir feat. Charles Benavent and the award-winning
