When we look at the patterns of our lives, what do we see? A repeating line, or rows of shapes? Do they change color? Size? Form? And does the pattern change entirely as we enter a new phase? These are the questions Jasmyn asks on her debut solo album In The Wild, where the art of reshaping, shifting and grounding is encouraged with an open-hearted vigor.

By diving deep within ourselves and ruminating on the reflection we see in the mirror, we can unearth a new kind of clarity, where the balance we’ve been searching for, slowly begins to reveal itself.

As the front person of Weaves, Jasmyn has been a touring musician for the better part of a decade. Over their career, the band received two Polaris Music Prize shortlists, two JUNO nominations for Alternative Album of the Year, and two SOCAN Songwriting Prize nominations.

The four-piece band played across the globe, including Glastonbury festival, and received critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork, NPR, The Guardian and Elton John’s Rocket Hour.

Canadian songwriter and producer, Jeremy Haywood-Smith needed an escape from his state of mourning when he began working on Slightshot, his most recent LP as "JayWood", the recording project he started in 2015.

After the loss of his mother in 2019 and the global standstill, which included multiple social crises throughout 2020, Haywood-Smith yearned for some forward momentum. “The idea of looking back to go forward became a really big thing for me—hence the title, Slingshot.”

Slingshot, JayWood’s first full length with the Brooklyn-based label Captured Tracks, released in summer 2022. His powerful performances and pensive writing create a cohesive listening experience littered with new wisdom and hidden references to the artist’s past material.

Carlo Capobianco is an Italian-Canadian singer-songwriter from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Setting out to create classic pop hits, he blends his deep knowledge of pop-music and classical songwriting to create memorable, exciting pop tunes.
