We are excited to announce we will be celebrating our 10th Pinawa Lund Mania Event - July 14th (rules night) & 15th 2023

A 1 day Catch-Record-Release Walleye fishing tournament on the Winnipeg River in Pinawa, Manitoba.

Pinawa is very proud and honoured to be the host community for the Canadian Lund Mania Fishing Tournament. ­ The only one in Canada! This annual event is held on Pinawa’s Birthday Weekend (third Saturday in July). This year is our 60th Diamond Jubilee!

This event heralds the first walleye tournament to be held on the Winnipeg River, one of the walleye wonders of the world. Special regulations within the nearby Whiteshell Provincial Park have created a world-class trophy walleye fishery, and utilizing the Catch-Record-Release format enables competitive anglers to sample this exceptional stretch of river.

Open to the first 60 teams to register and pay a $450 entry fee, Lund Mania attracts some of the finest walleye anglers in the region. To qualify, participants must operate and fish from a Lund boat. Competing teams can register up to six walleyes on tournament day. The top team will win a new Lund Boat, Motor and Trailer.
