Origami Lotus Flower Workshop

Jul 27

  • Admission: $10 per class plus entry into the Garden
  • Time: 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Join Vicky, as she leads us in creating a beautiful origami Lotus Flower. Origami is the meditative art of paper folding. For many hundreds of years, people have delighted in the joy of folding ordinary pieces of paper into wonderful objects. The origami lotus flower is created by transforming six square pieces of paper with a few simple cuts, and one type of fold into a beautiful lotus. In nature, the lotus flower rises out of the mud, untainted and pristine. The lotus flower represents purity of heart and mind, spiritual growth and awakening.

All materials will be provided, including written instructions for the origami lotus flower to take home.

Participants must be 12 years and older please.

There will be 2 sessions on Saturday July 27th in the Conference Room of the Conservatory – 1PM and 2:30PM.
